Local residents enrolled at the University of Evansville are spending part of the summer studying abroad at Harlaxton College, UE's British campus near Grantham, England. The following local residents are currently enrolled in the Contemporary European Business Issues course, which runs May 3-13 and is taught by Peter Sherman, associate professor of management in UE's Schroeder Family School of Business Administration:

The following individuals are among 10 UE students enrolled in Tropical Ecology of Costa Rica, a semester-long course with a summer travel component that runs from May 7-23. Cris Hochwender, UE associate professor of biology, is teaching the course.

Local residents attending the University of Evansville will be among the first to participate in the Jezreel Expedition, a new archaeological project in northern Israel. The University of Evansville is proud to announce that several local students were members of winning teams in the inaugural Evansville Startup Weekend competition. The 54-hour event took place February 24-26 at the University of Southern Indiana College of Business. Startup Weekend brought together developers, designers, marketers, product managers, and startup enthusiasts to share ideas, form teams, build products, and launch startups. On Friday night, nearly 40 ideas were pitched, and 10 were selected as finalists. More than 70 participants formed 10 teams that worked through the weekend to develop their projects and products and to come up with a five-minute presentation that would wow a panel of local executives.
