UE Faculty Named Finalists for Regional Art Awards
Evansville, Ind. (10/21/2026) — Two University of Evansville (UE) faculty members have been named finalists for the 2026 Regional Art Awards.
Leanne Hampton, DMA, UE/EPO Music Consortium faculty member, is a finalist for the Art Educator Award. She has been with the University since 2017, making an impact on students and the broader community through her work in music education.
Dr. James MacLeod, chair and professor of history, is a finalist for the Literary Art Award. At UE since 1999, MacLeod is recognized locally for his creative contributions to the literary arts, including his weekly cartoons published in the Evansville Courier & Press.
The awards will be presented during an event November 13 at Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library (EVPL) Central. The event will celebrate the region's arts community with an awards ceremony, a special art exhibit, musical performances, a silent auction, and a reception.
