University of Evansville to Celebrate 168th Commencement Ceremony on May 9
Evansville, Ind. (05/05/2026) — The University of Evansville (UE) will hold its 168th Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 9, at Ford Center, honoring the Class of 2026.
Approximately 465 graduates will be recognized during the ceremony, with 480 degrees expected to be conferred. The event will feature remarks from President Christopher M. Pietruszkiewicz, Student Government Association President Vivian Slaton, and senior keynote speaker Alison Gansman.
In addition to celebrating graduates, several university awards will be presented, including the Mabel Dillingham Nenneker and Guthrie May Outstanding Senior Award, the inaugural Lee and Ann Cooper Outstanding Teacher Award, and the Eykamp Prize.
The University will also confer honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degrees upon Vanderburgh County Health Officer R. Kenneth Spear Jr., recognized for his leadership in public health across Southwestern Indiana, and University Trustee Rev. Larry A. Rascoe Sr., honored for his longstanding commitment to ministry and community advancement.
