UE President Christopher M. Pietruszkiewicz Named Chair of Missouri Valley Conference Presidents Council

ST. LOUIS (07/08/2026) — University of Evansville (UE) President Christopher M. Pietruszkiewicz has been named Chair of the Missouri Valley Conference Presidents Council for a two-year term that began July 1, 2026.
As Chair, Pietruszkiewicz will provide leadership to the Presidents Council and work collaboratively with fellow university presidents and Conference Commissioner Jeff Jackson to advance the Missouri Valley Conference's strategic priorities and position the league for continued success.

"The Missouri Valley Conference has a rich tradition of excellence in both academics and athletics, and I look forward to working alongside my fellow presidents and Commissioner Jackson to advance opportunities for our student-athletes, strengthen our member institutions, and help shape the future of the Valley."
The Presidents Council serves as the governing body of the Missouri Valley Conference and is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the league. Through their leadership, the presidents of the Conference's member institutions help shape policies and priorities that enhance opportunities and outcomes for more than 5,000 student-athletes while advancing the Missouri Valley Conference's tradition of academic and athletic excellence.
Pietruszkiewicz has served as President of the University of Evansville since 2018. Nationally, he has served on the NCAA Division I Board of Directors and the NCAA Division I Finance Committee since 2021 and has served as Vice Chair of the Board since 2023. He also chairs the NCAA Division I Executive Committee. His two-year term as Chair of the Missouri Valley Conference Presidents Council runs through 2028.
