Rami Malek, UE Theatre Alumnus, Stars in New Bond Film "No Time to Die"

Evansville, IN (10/07/2021) — University of Evansville (UE) alumnus Rami Malek is starring in the upcoming film No Time To Die, the 25th film in the James Bond franchise. Playing the role of Lyutsifer Safin, the nemesis of Bond, Malek is the latest villain in the storied series.

The film is set to be released in the United States on Friday, October 8. The world premiere was September 28 in London.

Malek will also be an opening host for the 47th season of Saturday Night Live. He is slated to appear on the show October 16.

A 2003 graduate of the theatre program, Malek's roles at UE included Death and the King's Horseman, The Kentucky Cycle, Book of Days, Much Ado About Nothing, Othello, and The Real Thing.

Malek has won many awards, including an Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, which was released in 2018.
