MEDIA ADVISORY: University of Evansville Launches New Dance Wellness Program for Seniors, 'Silver Aces'
Evansville, Ind. (04/24/2024) — Media Advisory from University of Evansville.
WHO: UE's Center for Innovation & Change and UE Dance Company, in collaboration with UE's Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, PsyD and Nursing Programs.
WHAT: Collaborative launch of the Silver Aces Dance Team, a unique program for seniors aged 55 and above, promoting social interaction and physical activity through dance, with an emphasis on holistic well-being. Health screenings provided by UE students in the PA, PT and Nursing programs, and dance lessons provided by students and staff coaches in the UE Dance Company. Multi-generational performance opportunities will be available. Registration is full, but those interested can contact Erin Lewis EL131@evansville.edu to be placed on the wait list. The program was made possible through generous funding from the Sol and Arlene Bronstein Foundation.
WHEN: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 28, 2024. Health screenings take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and dance lessons from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
