Sara Buente of Evansville Studies Abroad in Dominican Republic

University of Evansville student Sara Buente, a resident of Evansville, IN, will spend the Spring 2013 semester studying abroad in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Buente is majoring in Spanish.

"By spending a semester in Dominican Republic, Sara will gain cultural awareness, unforgettable memories, and a truly global education."

The University of Evansville is a national leader in study abroad. In the 2012 Open Doors report, the Institute of International Education ranked UE 12th in the nation for study abroad participation among master's-granting institutions. More than half of UE students study abroad during their college careers, and Buente is one of 97 UE students abroad in 13 countries for the Spring 2013 semester.
