Megan Owens of Avon Studies Abroad at UE's British Campus

University of Evansville student Megan Owens of Avon, 46123 is spending the Spring 2015 semester studying abroad at Harlaxton College, UE's British campus near Grantham, England.

Harlaxton College is an historic 150-room manor house in the English countryside, which some call UE's own "Hogwarts. The Harlaxton curriculum offers an interdisciplinary introduction to British life and culture. Classes are combined with lectures, seminars, and field trips to locations such as Lincoln and London. In addition, students enroll in classes in the liberal arts and pre-professional studies. Weekend trips to destinations such as London, Paris, Ireland, Wales, and the Lake District in northern England provide opportunities to engage the culture in Britain and beyond. While at Harlaxton, students may participate in the Meet-a-Family program, athletics, and other activities.
