Megan Anderson of West Salem Inducted into International Honor Society

The University of Evansville is proud to announce that Megan Anderson of West Salem has been inducted into the Indiana Alpha Chapter of Pi Gamma Mu, an international honor society in the social sciences. Anderson is a graduate of Triway High School and is majoring in Archaeology.

Anderson was one of 11 new members inducted into UE's chapter during a ceremony on October 16. Collectively, the inductees maintain a grade point average of 3.75.

To join Pi Gamma Mu, a student must be a junior, senior, or graduate student in the upper 35 percent of his or her class and have completed at least 20 semester hours in social sciences with an average grade of B or better.

Founded in 1924, Pi Gamma Mu is the oldest honor society in the social sciences, and its mission is to encourage and promote excellence in the social sciences and to uphold the ideals of scholarship and service. The Indiana Alpha Chapter at UE was chartered in 1929 and was the first in the state of Indiana.
