2011 Oct 24

The University of Evansville is proud to announce that Mara Huber of Cincinnati recently helped raise funds for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals by participating in the Kickin' It for the Kids Kickball Tournament. Huber, who is majoring in Pre Physical Therapy, competed with the Chi Omega team.

Approximately 50 UE students participated in the tournament, which raised $950 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals through ticket sales and team registration fees.

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds for 170 children's hospitals across North America. Since 1983, the organization has raised more than $4 billion to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care with the mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

Kickin' It for the Kids was a joint fundraiser between the University of Evansville chapters of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Students of AMF (Ailing Mothers and Fathers). The tournament took place on Friday, October 14 at UE's intramural sports field.
