Madison Ralph of Springfield Performs in Televised Holiday Pops Concert

The University of Evansville is proud to announce that Madison Ralph of Springfield, IL, was selected to perform at the Department of Music's 34th annual Holiday Pops concert. Ralph is majoring in Biology.

In the Evansville Tri-State area, Holiday Pops will be televised on WNIN, Channel 9.1, at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, and noon on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25. (Evansville is in the Central Time Zone.) Those outside the local viewing area may watch the concert on UE's YouTube page.

Holiday Pops took place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 10 in Downtown Evansville's Victory Theatre. The free concert brought together UE ensembles and soloists, including the University's choirs, orchestra, and wind, brass, and jazz ensembles.

This year's Holiday Pops concert featured students and faculty members performing sacred and secular musical selections, ranging from "Greensleeves" to "Sleigh Ride" to music from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker ballet.

"Every year, it's a joy to see talented students such as Madison Ralph share their love of music with the community by performing in the Holiday Pops concert," said Thomas Josenhans, chair of the Department of Music. "The collaborative efforts of UE students and faculty make this performance a local favorite every holiday season. Thanks to our partnership with WNIN, we're thrilled that audiences around the region can enjoy this year's Holiday Pops concert."
