2012 Jan 6

The University of Evansville is proud to announce that Versailles native Jessica Foster, a graduate of South Ripley Junior-Senior High School, will spend the Spring 2012 semester studying abroad in Granada, Spain. Foster, who is majoring in International Studies, will study at the University of Granada in a program run by the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS).

"At the University of Evansville, we're committed to providing students such as Jessica Foster with life-transforming educational experiences abroad," said Earl Kirk, UE director of study abroad. "By spending a semester in Spain, Jessica will gain cultural awareness, unforgettable memories, and a truly global education."

The University of Evansville is a recognized leader in study abroad. In the 2011 Open Doors report, the Institute of International Education ranked UE in the nation's top 15 master's-granting institutions for study abroad participation. Approximately half of UE graduates study abroad during their college careers, and Foster is one of 136 UE students abroad for the Spring 2012 semester.
