Fatima Chan of Hong Kong to Perform at University of Evansville's Gumberts Award Recital

The University of Evansville's Department of Music is proud to announce that Hong Kong resident Fatima Chan (violin) has been selected as one of three performers to compete in the prestigious 35th annual Gumberts Award Recital. Chan is majoring in Music Therapy.

Each year, the Gumberts Award Recital features several top performers in the senior class, as voted by the Department of Music faculty.

"Being selected to perform at the Gumberts Award Recital is a tremendous honor, and Fatima should be deeply proud of this accomplishment," said Thomas Josenhans, chair of the Department of Music. "During her time at UE, Fatima has dedicated significant time and effort to becoming an outstanding musician, and we're pleased to provide this opportunity for her to showcase her talent."

The recital, where one winner will be chosen, will take place in UE's Wheeler Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24. It is free and open to the public.
