Erin Wittmer of Loogootee Shares Global Experiences During International Education Week

The University of Evansville is proud to announce that Erin Wittmer of Loogootee is among the students selected to hold public presentations on their international study, research, and internship experiences as part of UE's seventh annual International Education Week, observed November 18-22.

Wittmer, who is majoring in Health Services Administration, will present "China 2013: Comparative Health Care" at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 19 in UE's Eykamp Hall.

International Education Week was launched in 1999 as a joint initiative of the U.S. Departments of State and Education. Each November, the University of Evansville joins educational institutions around the world in celebrating the benefits of international education and cultural exchange.

The University of Evansville welcomes international students from around the world and encourages students to pursue cultural and academic experiences abroad. This semester, 270 international students are enrolled at UE, representing more than 50 countries. So far, in 2013, UE students have earned academic credit on five continents and in 24 countries. With 63.4 percent of undergraduates studying abroad, UE is a national leader as recognized by the Institute of International Education's Open Doors report, which recently ranked UE seventh in the nation for undergraduate study abroad participation among master's-granting institutions.
