Caitlyn Mumm of Janesville Shares Global Experiences During International Education Week

2012 Nov 12

The University of Evansville is proud to announce that Caitlyn Mumm of Janesville is among the students selected to hold public presentations on their international study, research, and internship experiences as part of UE's sixth annual International Education Week, observed November 12-16. Mumm, a graduate of Milton High School majoring in International Studies, will present "Model United Nations" at 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 13 in UE's Ridgway University Center.

International Education Week was launched in 1999 as a joint initiative of the U.S. Departments of State and Education. Each November, the University of Evansville joins educational institutions around the world in celebrating the benefits of international education and cultural exchange. In particular, the University's series of programs recognizes the accomplishments and aspirations of UE community members - including students, faculty, and administrators - as they engage the world.

The University of Evansville proudly welcomes international students from around the world and encourages students to pursue cultural and academic experiences abroad. This semester, 217 international students from 46 countries are enrolled at UE. During the 2012-13 academic year, 285 UE students are expected to study abroad in approximately 20 countries. With approximately 50 percent of undergraduates studying abroad, UE is a national leader as recognized by the Institute of International Education's Open Doors report, which this year ranked UE 12th in the nation for undergraduate study abroad participation among master's-granting institutions.
