Aces Student-Athlete Matthew Hamilton Recognized For Community Service

Prior to the University of Evansville's softball game against Austin Peay on April 25, the UE Student Athlete Advisory Committee presented an award to Matthew Hamilton of Georgetown recognizing them as one of the top 20 student-athletes for their service to the community.

Hamilton is a member of the University of Evansville Men's Cross Country team.

In a record-setting year for service, Hamilton helped Aces student-athletes accumulate over 3,400 hours of service while helping 105 agencies in the community.

"We are extremely proud of our student-athletes. "They have volunteered at over 100 organizations and spent more than 3,400 hours during the academic year contributing to our community," UE Senior Associate Athletics Director and SWA Sarah Solinsky said. "The student-athletes find community service a rewarding aspect of their overall experience at UE."
