Aces Student-Athlete Kelsey Costales Recognized For Community Service

2012 Apr 27

Prior to the University of Evansville's softball game against Austin Peay on April 25, the UE Student Athlete Advisory Committee presented an award to Kelsey Costales of Long Beach recognizing them as one of the top 20 student-athletes for their service to the community.

Costales is a member of the University of Evansville Women's Tennis team.

In a record-setting year for service, Costales helped Aces student-athletes accumulate over 3,400 hours of service while helping 105 agencies in the community.

"We are extremely proud of our student-athletes. "They have volunteered at over 100 organizations and spent more than 3,400 hours during the academic year contributing to our community," UE Senior Associate Athletics Director and SWA Sarah Solinsky said. "The student-athletes find community service a rewarding aspect of their overall experience at UE."
