Glen Carbon Resident Liz Leehy Honored in University of Evansville Student Writing Contest

Liz Leehy, a resident of Glen Carbon, IL, has been recognized for creative work in the University of Evansville's Student Writing Contest. Leehy received the George Klinger Memorial Prize for Writing for the poem "Improvise."

Contest winners were selected by Department of Creative Writing faculty and announced April 19 at the department's annual Senior Reading and awards presentation in UE's Melvin Peterson Gallery.

Leehy, a graduate of Edwardsville Senior High School, is majoring in Creative Writing.
